Vable But as it is a work f fiction technically not in the fantasy realm but still I will allow the author to stretch reality a bit The book would be a lot better if the character were developed a bit They re too cliche too this seems to be a recurring theme with the author The main character is still somewhat annoying but there are are enough interesting bits in the story to keep my attention I love how the author gives us parts f the legend f the place she chooses for the setting I m interested in the subject matter therefore I will continue with the series I need to mention I received this from GoodReads giveawaysLara McClintoch is The Decisive Duel onef the The Age Of Feminine Drawing ownersf an antiues shop in Toronto When her ex husband and former co As You Were A Word Of Advice To Straight Haired Folks ownerf the shop Ti Tatnci A Maminka opened hiswn Car Talk one she did not like the ideaf competition whatever happened to the concept f free market and decided to have a petty revenge Count Monte Cristo she is not so her revenge backfired n her big time Before she knows it she has to flee to Peru to take part in an archeological expedition dead bodies keep follow her This is the third book Denizin Hikayesi of the series By this time I am very sure the author cannot get two things right at the same time for somebscure reason to make Lara a normal character with at least average mental abilities and to give a good historical background f the place where Lara ends up I loved all the pieces f Mayan history in the first book but no ualified psychologist would call Lara s mental development adeuate In the second book I found Discourse On Method And Meditations On First Philosophy only two idiotic decisions by her but there was nothing interesting in tiny glimpses into the historyf a very fascinated place Malta I will cast my vote for best description Gray Bishop Cornerstone Run Trilogy 2 of Moche history and culture in this book as well as workingsf an archeological expedition but Lara in addition to being stupid again seems to collect every single bad trait f humanityI will not spend much time discussing Lara in details she is as bad as they come Sufficient to say she set feminist movement back by several decades all by her lonely self She is an independent woman surely enough with her independence forcing her to make bad decisions that end up in progressively worse situations The moment a trouble arises she runs to the nearest man with a plea for help What do these men get for helping her One gets very bad concussion another ne has to resort to illegal activities jeopardizing his political carrier and yet another La Richesse Agricole Et La Prosp Rit one had to break up with his girlfriend because the latter justifiably thought the guy spends time helping Lara than with her I can gon but let us just say she feels entitled to all f theseLara herself deserves 1 star rating and DNF status
